The Local Board of the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC), in collaboration with the City of Puerto Lumbreras, has organized a charity day at the Hotel Riscal, which has gathered about 400 people.
The mayor of the town, Mª Ángeles Túnez, accompanied by members of her government team, has attended the event.
The objective of this initiative is to raise funds that serve to increase means and aid for people suffering from this disease in the municipality.
The Mayor has underlined "the excellent reception that this annual charity has, to which every year a greater number of people join to collaborate for a good cause".
Tunisia added that "the solidary character of Lumbrerenses is also perceived thanks to the collaboration of the numerous companies, shops, associations and establishments that donate gifts for the realization of a charity raffle during the day".
