This morning the Fair of Equine Livestock of Puerto Lumbreras, which is located in the Local Cattle Market, has opened its doors.
At 08.00 in the morning, the first cattle heads began to enter the enclosure.
This year, farmers have not had to pay fees for the access of live animals transport vehicles, nor for the entry of cattle heads into the market.
The councilor of Agriculture and Livestock has stressed that "last year we eliminated the rates to farmers as a sign of our support to the primary sector and as a measure to promote the development of the livestock sector of the municipality."

This new edition has more than 350 copies in an area of ​​more than 20,000 square meters.
The Fair, with a tradition of more than 80 years, is celebrated with an abundant participation of farmers from different points of the Region of Murcia and other places of the national territory.
The councilman of Agriculture, Livestock, Water and Pedanías, José María Parra, has invited citizens to visit the fair and stressed that "fans of the equestrian world have a great opportunity to make the purchase-sale of copies."
In addition, Parra added that "all those people who come to the Livestock Market of Puerto Lumbreras can see a high number of mares, foals, horses, donkeys, donkeys and many other examples of equine livestock. equipment stalls linked to equine gear such as saddlebags, holsters, blankets, saddles, among other pieces ".
Within the exhibition center, exhibitions of livestock material such as saddles or works of esparto and other utensils related to the world of the horse are made.
