27 lumbrerenses have participated with wines from their own harvest of 2017 in the "Juan Asensio López" Wine Contest.
It is an initiative organized by the Department of Celebrations of the City of Puerto Lumbreras on the occasion of the feast of the Immaculate Conception.
This morning the name of the winners was revealed in an act that took place at the Multipurpose Rural Center of the Lumbrerense hamlet of La Estación-Esparragal.
Thus, Máría Pérez Hernández has been awarded with the "best flavor" trophy and Catalina Teruel Benítez has won the "best color" award.
Next, all the attendees have made a tasting of ham, accompanied by the participating wines in this 2017 edition.
Note that the name of this contest is in recognition of one of the fatalities of the flood on September 28, 2012, which was the winner of the contest in 2011 and participant in all editions prior to that year.
