The City Council has prepared a special Christmas program with more than 30 cultural, sports and leisure activities.
The Lumbrerense Asensio Martínez will be this year the Christmas crier of Puerto Lumbreras.
On December 15, at 7:30 p.m., he will deliver the proclamation in the Parochial Church of Our Lady of the Rosary.
Asensio Martínez has been chosen to welcome Christmas 2017 for his great commitment to the municipality of Puerto Lumbreras.
This Lumbreren has been president of the Royal and Illustrious Brotherhood of Stmo.
Christ of the Faith and María Stma de la Piedad and president of the Town Council of Easter Weeks of Puerto Lumbreras.

On December 22, the House of Illusion will open at 17.30 with a light and music show, set in the world of circus.
It is a new initiative installed on Pedro García Rubio Avenue that will house musical performances, dance shows and children's entertainment.
In addition, bars in the municipality will install bars in this house for free.
On December 23 there will be a meeting of gangs in the House of illusion at 12.00 and, from 18.00, will be celebrated the Cavalcade of the Illusion that will feature dancers, cartoons and Disney characters.
The Cabalgata will end in the House of Illusion with the arrival of Santa Claus in sleigh.
The little ones will be able to deliver their letters, ask for their wishes and take photographs.
On Sunday, December 24, at 09.00 a traditional "climb to the chasm" will be held from the Municipal Sports Center.
At 12 noon the Cabalgata de la Illusion will cross the streets of the district of La Estación-Esparragal.
From 3:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m., the "good afternoon" will be celebrated with the concert of the Cheers group and the performance of DJs at the House of Illusion.
In the evening, at midnight the Misa del Gallo will be celebrated, which will be sung by the group Virgen del Rosario Choirs and Dances.
On Tuesday, December 26, the film "Peter and the Dragon" will be screened at 6:00 p.m. in the auditorium of the Cultural Center.
On Wednesday, December 27, a storyteller will perform at 17.30 in the House of Illusion and the traditional Christmas concert of the Municipal Music Band, coinciding with its XXX anniversary, at 20.00 hours at the Cultural Center.
The youngest will enjoy a humor show with "Sonrrilandia" on December 28 at 17.30 in the House of Illusion.
On December 29, a soccer football Christmas tournament will be held at 10 am at the Municipal Sports Center.
On that day there will also be a magic show at 5:00 pm in the House of Illusion and a poetry recital will be held at 8:30 pm in the House of the Duendes.
On Saturday, December 30, a basketball championship will take place at 11.00 in the pavilion on San Javier Street and guided visits will be made to the Cabezo de la Jara Astronomical Observatory from 7:00 p.m.
On December 31, a children's party has been prepared to say goodbye to the year with children's bells and the traditional San Silvestre race.
In the afternoon, the "old afternoon" will be held with the performance of the Retropop group, which will offer a repertoire of the best pop rock songs of the 80s and 90s. Then, the afternoon will continue with music by DJs.
On January 2, the film "Captain America Civil War" will be shown at 6:00 pm in the Cultural Center's auditorium.
On January 5, a 3x3 football championship will be held at 10.00 in the Augusto Vels park.
In the afternoon, the expected Cavalcade of the Magi will be celebrated, which will end in the courtyard of the Cultural Center.
Once there, the children will be able to greet and give their letter to Melchor, Gaspar and Baltasar.
Lastly, on Saturday, January 6, a Mass will be celebrated at 12 noon, sung by the group Choirs and Dances Virgen del Rosario in the Parochial Church.
