The deadline is now open, over a month, to submit applications for aid both electronically and in person at the Ministry.
The mayor of Puerto Lumbreras, Maria Angeles Tunisia, and the general director of Planning, Architecture and Housing, Laura Sandoval, met this morning with residents of the municipality to explain the aid for the rehabilitation and reconstruction of housing included in the Area of Regeneration and Urban Renewal (ARRU) of the Housing Plan.
In this way, the general director has announced that "more than 410 families from Puerto Lumbreras, Cehegín and La Union can receive aid of 15,000 euros to rehabilitate their homes."
These subsidies are part of the Housing Plan, in the program of the areas of regeneration and urban renewal (ARRU), and has an overall investment of 364,500 euros, co-financed between the Autonomous Community and the Ministry of Development.
The mayor of the town has stressed that "with these grants will be implemented actions that will improve areas deteriorated and their living conditions, at the same time will involve the creation of jobs in sectors related to the works that are executed."
Mª Ángeles Tunisia explained that "the aid is a great opportunity to face those improvements in the homes that we always want to undertake but that due to lack of economic resources we do not carry out".
In addition, Tunisia stressed that "the rehabilitation of housing can be far-reaching, from conservation to improving accessibility and energy efficiency."
The aid will cover conservation works (foundation, structure, facilities, roofs, roofs, facades or other common elements), improvement of quality and sustainability, as well as accessibility to buildings, homes and premises.
They will also be able to carry out actions that contribute to improving energy efficiency by at least 30 percent.
For this, works in carpentry and window frames will be subsidized, installation or replacement of heating, cooling, heating and ventilation production and works to improve the thermal insulation of networks and the installation of equipment that uses renewable energy.
The beneficiaries of the subsidies will be able to obtain grants of up to 50 percent of the total budget of the action they will carry out in their homes, with a maximum amount of 14,850 euros and a maximum execution period until June 30, 2018.
The general director, Laura Sandoval, indicated that the deadline is now open for a month to present the aid applications both electronically and in person at the Ministry.
In the case of Puerto Lumbreras, the Area of ​​regeneration and urban renewal (ARRU) is delimited between the commercial area of ​​the town and the accesses to Puerto Lumbreras and includes the rehabilitation of 177 homes, with a budget of 114,750 euros.
