111 children of Primary Education have participated in the XII Illustrated Story Contest "Once Upon Christmas", organized by the Department of Culture, through the Municipal Library Network.
In this edition, the winner of the best illustration was Daniel Serrano for his drawing "The thief of Christmas gifts".
On the other hand, the winner of the best story among the stories presented by 3rd grade students has been Marta Abellaneda for her story "The adventures of a puppy at Christmas";
the best narration of 4th of Primary has been for "The Contest" by Sofía García;
and the best narration of 5 ° has been awarded to Paula Viudez with "La estrella de la Navidad".
The objective of this contest is to encourage creativity, written narrative, reading habits and the participation of children in educational-cultural and collective activities.
The Councilor for Culture, Mª Victoria Jerez, has participated in the awards ceremony and has conveyed her congratulations to the awarded children.
The prizes consisted of lots with stationery and school supplies, sponsored by Nova Bookstore, Papiro Bookshop, Rayas Bookshop and Ofilógica Oficinas.
Finally, it should be noted that all the stories are displayed in the Municipal Library of Puerto Lumbreras and in the Library of the Lumbrerense district of La Estación-Esparragal.
