More than 600 athletes from all the clubs in the Region of Murcia participated this morning in XXXII Regional League of Cross 12th Trophy City of Puerto Lumbreras.
A total of 11 races have been contested, including the categories juvenile, infant, pre-baby, baby, cadet, junior, junior, promises, senior and veterans.
In addition, popular athletes not federated in absolute category have participated.
The tests have been held in three circuits, with distances ranging from 800 meters to 7,250 meters, depending on the category.
The weather has accompanied from early hours with a clear sky in this fourth day of the Regional League of Cross that has been played next to the Municipal Sports Center.
The Esparragal Sports Association, in collaboration with the Department of Sports of the City of Puerto Lumbreras, the Nogalte Athletics Club and the Athletics Federation of the Region of Murcia have been the organizers of this day of the Cross Regional League.
The sporting event ended with the presentation of trophies attended by the Councilor for Sports, Juan Rubén Burrueco and representatives of the Athletics Federation of the Region of Murcia.
Thus, in the absolute category, the Regional Championship of short cross has been played both individually and by clubs being the absolute champions in male and female category Mohamed Katir of the UCAM Cartagena Club and Wafiya Benali of the Puerto Lumbreras Home Club, Puerto Lumbreras Athletics Club.
The men's short cross-country team has been CA Puertas Lorca and in the female category Hogar Puerto Lumbreras, Puerto Lumbreras Athletics Club.
