Puerto Lumbreras will have the collaboration of the Autonomous Community in the design of leisure programs through this plan that will increase the number of cultural events in the municipality.
The City Council of Puerto Lumbreras has requested to join the Plan Escena 2018, convened by the Institute of Cultural Industries (ICA), dependent on the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Environment of the Autonomous Community of Murcia.
The objective of the Plan Escena is to collaborate in the promotion of the scenic and musical arts sector in the Region of Murcia and to help professional companies in their regional, national and international tours.
ICA has been calling since 2014 the program called Plan Escena, through which it articulates the concrete support to the performing and musical arts in its various modalities through the creation of a regional network between scenic spaces and production companies, for being a direct way of citizen participation.
The economic collaboration, which on the part of the ICA will consist in certain occasions in the contribution of a percentage of the cache of the show, will be implemented through artistic performance contracts that the participants will subscribe with the ICA and the respective City Council prior to the realization of the programmed functions.
The Councilor for Culture and Tourism, Mª Victoria Jerez, stressed that "with this plan contributes to the promotion and strengthening of the scenic arts sector of the Region, giving greater visibility to the great work done by Murcia professional companies and increasing the number of performances scheduled in our municipality. "
In this way, the City Council of Puerto Lumbreras will have the collaboration of the Autonomous Community in the design of leisure programs through this plan that will increase the number of cultural events in the municipality.
Finally, Mª Victoria Jerez stressed that "with the adhesion to this plan, citizens will enjoy a more varied and entertaining cultural entertainment in Puerto Lumbreras".
