The City Council of Puerto Lumbreras will receive a subsidy of 476,246.16 euros, which will allow assistance to dependents from February 1, 2018 to January 31, 2019. Currently, the municipality has 68 users.
To this end, the Governing Council has approved the extension of the collaboration agreement for the provision of the Home Help Service (SAD) in Puerto Lumbreras to dependents.
The mayor of the town, Mª Ángeles Túnez, explained that "this type of service promotes better attention to this group, which requires special support to carry out activities of their daily life and to increase their autonomy."
In this way, people valued with some degree of dependency receive help for personal hygiene, cleaning the house and other domestic tasks.
"This service provides professional attention to dependents in their homes, as well as continuous monitoring by municipal social services, explained Tunisia.
The actions carried out by the home help staff include services related to care and personal care, focused on the dependent person maintaining their basic skills in carrying out activities of daily living.
It also includes other services related to the care of domestic or household needs and accompanying tasks to improve their quality of life.
It should be noted that Puerto Lumbreras was a pioneer in the Region, together with Alcantarilla and Abarán, in making this agreement signed with the Autonomous Community.
