The pact, which was signed in December 2017 between the Autonomous Community and the Union of Cooperatives of Education (Ucoerm), the Association of Social Economy Enterprises (Amusal), the Federation of Agricultural Cooperatives of Murcia (Fecoam) and the Federation of Sociedades Agrarias Cooperativas de Murcia (Fecamur), pursues the creation of 250 new social economy companies in the coming years, that increase by 15% jobs in social inclusion initiatives and that 80% of employment in this area is indefinite .

It should be noted that Puerto Lumbreras has 71 cooperatives and 42 limited labor companies.

The Pact for the Excellence of the Social Economy consists of eight lines of action and 64 measures to create quality employment and social cohesion in the Region.

Among the objectives that it gathers up to 2020 is the creation of 3,500 gross jobs per year.

In addition, it proposes programs to support the incorporation of worker members into cooperatives, aid for contributions to social capital and incentives for hiring.

It also includes internationalization programs, promotion of electronic commerce and energy efficiency.

Finally, Mª Ángeles Tunisia has reaffirmed its commitment to the businessmen of the municipality and stressed that "the pact is an instrument to promote this type of economy in the medium term, with cooperatives as protagonists".
