The City Council asked the Ministry of Water, Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries to prepare this road in 2016.
The Autonomous Community will carry out improvement and conditioning work on the Vera road, belonging to the municipality of Puerto Lumbreras.
The mayor of the town, Mª Ángeles Túnez, explained that "the announcement of the tender for the works will be published in the next few days in the Official Gazette of the Region of Murcia".
The City Council of Puerto Lumbreras asked the Ministry of Water, Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries for the preparation of this road in the 2016 call.
The work will focus on the recycling of the firm, previous clearing of the margins and cleaning of gutters, demolishing the structure of the same, its recycling with cement by wet way and the subsequent application of a layer of asphalt rolling.
On the other hand, the project has also contemplated the application of curing irrigation to allow the correct setting of the firm recycling, the localized application of herbicide on the margins, the installation of new cross-drainage and salvage steps, the substitution or reinforcement of vertical signage and the enabling of new horizontal signage, with continuous and discontinuous lines, with white reflective paint, executed with water-based acrylic paint.
This action, which aims to improve the state of the firm and the safety of citizens, has a budget of 127,857 euros, by the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia.
It should be noted that a meeting will be held with the municipal and technical technicians of the Autonomous Community in the Municipal Offices of La Estación-Esparragal to inform the neighbors about the implementation of these works and resolve any doubts.
"The agriculture and livestock sector is the main economic driver of Puerto Lumbreras, which is why it is important to place special emphasis on the settlement of rural roads such as this, which connects isolated dwellings and gives access to agricultural and livestock farms, fundamental pillars of our local economy ", explained the mayor.
Recently, the regional government has executed several improvement actions in rural roads such as the Higueral Alto and Los Guevaras.
In both roads, reinforcement and improvement works have been carried out, improvement of drainage and road safety.
In recent years, the City Council of Puerto Lumbreras and the Autonomous Community have worked together to fix more than 100 kilometers of roads.
Thus, important asphalting, signage, ditch cleaning, rainwater evacuation and public lighting works, among others, have been carried out.
Finally, Tunisia thanked the regional government "to take into account the needs of Lumbrerenses and allow rural areas are equipped with the best infrastructure so that there is more security and adequate access to farms."
