The Department of Equal Opportunities of the City of Puerto Lumbreras has designed an extensive program of activities to commemorate the International Women's Day in the municipality.
Specifically, the program was presented last night at the Casa de los Duendes Cultural Center and featured the performance of the artist Amarela, who presented some songs from her new album.
The presentation was attended by more than fifty people, including the mayor of the town, MÂŞ Ángeles Túnez.
The activities will continue on Saturday March 3 with a meeting of women in the Cabezo de la Jara.
It will be a day of coexistence that will include musical performances, dance classes, magic show and craft workshops, among others.
On March 8, the conference "Proud of being a woman: courage and power" is scheduled at the Women's Center at 8:30 p.m.
On Friday, March 9 will be a tribute to women entrepreneurs organized by Amel in Riscal restaurant at 2:00 pm.
In addition, on March 11 a charity meal will be held in Guirrete restaurant for the benefit of the Aldea Alzheimer Aldea Association.
In the same way, a trilogy of mini workshops "the magic of the dreams" has been programmed during the days 9, 16 and 23 of March, from the 19.00 hours, in the Center of the Woman.
There will also be a cultural event of poetry, music and art "Cry of women" on Saturday, March 10 at 8:00 pm in the auditorium of the Cultural Center, in charge of the Llamaradas association.
The Women's Tour of Coca-Cola will arrive in Puerto Lumbreras on March 12 and 13 with the aim of promoting the empowerment of women, decision-making and the promotion of projects in their professional field.
The 'Women's Tour' project will be held in the morning, from 09.30 to 13.30 hours, for female employees and / or unemployed, and in the afternoon, from 4 to 8 pm, for female entrepreneurs.
On the other hand, the presentation of the book "Valory and its mane of values" by the author Adela Mendiola was scheduled on March 15 at 8:00 pm at Casa de los Duendes.
Also, on March 16 there will be a day of coexistence with women of the municipality and women of Yecla, who will travel to Puerto Lumbreras to know its tourist attractions.
That same day, at 8:00 pm, the Association of Friendly Voices of Hope will give a lecture under the motto "Humor in Scrambled Times" at the Women's Center.
The program also includes master classes of batuka and tai chi, as well as workshops to develop natural cosmetics and know the properties of aloe vera.
Caser Residencial plans to hold a workshop on "hygiene in sleep" on April 18 at the Women's Center, and a talk "avoid stress by learning to relax" on April 25 at the Municipal Offices of La Estación-Esparragal.
The program also has a wide range of trips, among which there is an exit to Antequera that includes a visit to the Caminito del Rey, a weekend trip to Ávila and Segovia, a trip to the festivities of Moors and Christians of Alcoy and the Festival of the Horses of the Wine of Caravaca de la Cruz.
The program of activities is organized by the City Council of Puerto Lumbreras in collaboration with the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia, the Regional Network of Local Employment Centers for Women, Network of Specialized Care Centers for Victims of Gender Violence, Department of Employment, Women's Association of the Women's Center of Puerto Lumbreras, Association of Women Entrepreneurs Amel, Residential Caser, Spanish Association Against Cancer, Voades, Association of Alzheimer's Disease Village, Association of Women Friends without Borders, Mercury Travel and Orbitalia.
Campaign to promote trade 'March in Women'
Within the programming of Women's Month, the City Council of Puerto Lumbreras, in collaboration with the Confederation of Employers ASEPLU, the Association of Women Entrepreneurs AMEL and the Chamber of Commerce of Lorca and Puerto Lumbreras, develops during the month of March the Trade campaign 'March in Feminine', which offers discounts and promotions.
The campaign involves more than 100 shops from different sectors such as stationery, jewelry, decoration, food, fashion, optics, aesthetics, among others.
