As is already tradition, the City Council of Puerto Lumbreras has published a new edition of the Yearbook, which shows in a summarized way the news, activities and other events that took place in the town in the last year.
The presentation took place last night at the Socio-Cultural Center Casa de los Duendes with an evening trove in which Antonio "El Andaluz", Pedro "El Cardoso" and Tomás García on guitar participated.
More than fifty people attended the event, which was also attended by the mayor of the town, Mª Ángeles Tunisia, and members of his government team.
The 2017 Yearbook reflects in a very visual way the main events such as the Festivities, Holy Week, Carnival or Christmas.
In addition, it also includes other important events that took place in the last year such as the inauguration of the Nursery of Cultural and Creative Companies, the expansion of the Juan Antonio López Alcaraz school or the remodeling of the Augusto Vels municipal park.
This publication, edited by the City Council of Puerto Lumbreras, has more than 1,000 photographs on its 196 pages.
The Yearbook will also be available, starting on Monday, on the website of the City Council of Puerto Lumbreras.
The mayor of the town, M ª Angeles Túnez, explained that "this yearbook, which began to be published in 2004, has become a collector's item for Lumbrerenses." This copy serves to remember and make known to future generations the evolution of Puerto Lumbreras ".
In the Yearbook there are also curious data about the municipality such as the population growth, the most common names in the births of that year, the most read book in the Library Network or the number of weddings that have been made in the last year.
Finally, the mayor of the town stressed that "this book shows that 2017 has been a great year in which numerous projects and services have been launched, and I hope that 2018 will be even better and Puerto Lumbrera will be consolidated as a municipality in continuous growth ".
