The Ministry of the Presidency and Development puts out to tender the works for the construction of a roundabout that will improve the road safety of the road that joins the municipality of Puerto Lumbreras with the hamlet of La Estación -Esparragal.
This was announced by the Director General of Roads, José Antonio Fernández Lladó, who accompanied by the mayor of Puerto Lumbreras, María Ángeles Tunisia, presented to the neighbors the action to be taken in the access to the Cattle Market, whose budget amounts to more than 420,000 euros.
"The importance of this work lies in the volume of vehicles that annually circulate in this way that exceed one and a half million annually, of which more than 130,000 are heavy," said José Antonio Fernández Lladó.
The tender for the works of the roundabout begins tomorrow, as reflected in the announcement published today in the Bulletin of the Region of Murcia (BORM).
The deadline for submission of offers will be 26 calendar days.
Once the work has been awarded, the maximum execution time will be four months.
The roundabout will have an outside diameter of 36 meters and an interior of 24 meters, with a single lane road of 6 meters wide, with an outer and inner shoulder of 1 meter.
In its interior, it will have a central island paved with a landscaped parterre of 3 meters in diameter.
It will be completed with both vertical and horizontal signs, the corresponding beacons and the installation of 11 streetlamps.
