Today the XII Charity Gala has been celebrated in favor of the Association of Alzheimer's Patients of Puerto Lumbreras (ALDEA), which has been attended by more than 200 people to collaborate for a good cause.
This year, the gala has been held at Guirrete Restaurant and has featured humor, animation and fashion shows.
It is an event that, year after year, is consecrated as one of the charity meetings with the greatest affluence in Puerto Lumbreras.
The funds collected in this gala are intended to improve the services provided by the Lumbrerense association to Alzheimer's patients.
Recently, the City Council has granted a grant of more than 10,000 euros to this association with the aim of promoting new measures and actions that improve the quality of life of the sick in the town.
The Aldea Association is a non-profit organization constituted in November 2006 and made up of relatives of patients with Alzheimer's disease and professionals from various fields such as psychology, physiotherapy, social work and other disciplines involved in the care of Alzheimer's patients.
