A free childcare service has been enabled during the development of the presentations to facilitate conciliation.
The City Council of Puerto Lumbreras and the Associations of Mothers and Fathers (Ampa) of the municipality have organized a School of Mothers and Fathers for families of the municipality.
The educational program of the School brings new insights into problems that arise in the daily education of children.
In this sense, the program includes topics such as the prevention of bullying or the use of new technologies and social networks in adolescents.
In this way, five conferences-workshops have been planned, which will be developed until next June, to provide educational tools to the parents of the municipality.
Specifically, this month has been the first conference by the doctor in psychology Jesus Garcia, which has addressed the problem of bullying.
During his speech, which was based on the principles of emotional intelligence, guidelines for detecting risk cases were shown, as well as strategies to boost the self-esteem of all students, as the main protective factor against bullying.
The second session, which took place this week, was also given by Jesús García under the title "limits with love".
It addressed an educational style based on taking the child to incorporate the norms and discipline in a dialogue and pleasant, but at the same time consistent, understanding that parents are the ones who run the family.
The next conference, in which trainer Pablo Guillerna will expose the reality of adolescents in the digital world, will take place on April 16.
The School of Mothers and Fathers will continue on May 14 with the talk "balanced parents to educate by example" of Jesus Garcia.
Finally, coinciding with the end of the school year, the psychology doctor Ana Peinado will present the keys to educate with emotional intelligence on June 1.
All sessions will be held at 8:30 p.m. in the auditorium of the Cultural Center.
