The Municipality of Puerto Lumbreras has launched a campaign of prevention and awareness against bullying under the slogan "End school bullying is in my hand."

Through this initiative, the aim is to raise awareness among young people about this problem, while at the same time offering them a space where they can express their concerns and proposals for improvement in this area.

The program of activities, especially aimed at students and teachers of Primary and Secondary Education, includes a series of talks and workshops by one of the world's leading exponents of freestyle, Endika Gutiérrez, better known as "Invert".

This international winner of the "battles of roosters" of Redbull gives three workshops this week, as well as a freestyle exhibition, in which he deals with various topics focused on harassment from a creative and improvised perspective.

In the same way, the campaign has awareness activities that will be developed by the students of the Rambla de Nogalte Institute, through the realization of murals, texts and other forms of artistic expression.

In this sense, a group of students of Audiovisual Communication will be responsible for making a video about the reality of bullying, which will be presented on May 2, coinciding with the celebration of the International Day of Bullying.

For this day, the City Council plans to develop a campaign on social networks in order to make visible this social problem among young people and remind them that they have at their disposal a telephone help 24 hours a day, 365 days a year (900 10 22 20).

The Councilor for Education, Sonia Lopez, stressed that "publish on social networks a simple photograph in which appears the palm of the hand with the +1 symbol along with the slogan of the campaign and the hasta #YoMeSumo, will be enough to contribute to this cause".

On the other hand, from April 30 to May 4, lectures on self-esteem and conflict resolution to Secondary Education students will be given in order to provide techniques to improve self-esteem and highlight the importance of empathy in the fight against bullying students.
