The program of activities will continue with a literary encounter in which the writer, actress and poet, Magdalena Blesa will participate.
The program of activities carried out by the Department of Culture of the City of Puerto Lumbreras on the occasion of World Book Day includes a new edition of the 'Detectives de Biblioteca' contest, already well established due to its great reception.
It is a school event in which hundreds of 5th grade students of different schools of the municipality participate.
In it, through questions included in envelopes and in the form of a gymkhana, the participants must compete to answer as many questions as possible in the shortest time interval, and must make use of the different resources offered by the library space.
In this way, those who obtain the best scores will get the winning prize.
But the small detectives must wait until summer to know the results, since the awards will be made public in the month of June within the Nogalte Cultural program, at which time they will be granted.
The objective of this initiative is that participants can learn first-hand the operation and services of the Municipal Library of Puerto Lumbreras, by searching the catalog or knowing its schedule.
According to the councilman of Culture, María Victoria Jerez, it is one of the many activities programmed to favor an "approach to the facilities available in the town and thus increase the taste and love of reading among young people."
It should be noted that the program of activities will continue with a literary encounter in which the writer, actress and poet, Magdalena Blesa, will participate on April 24 at 5:00 pm at the Casa de los Duendes Cultural Center.
Reading fans will be able to attend this event, in which the book "Nana to sleep my grandparents" will be discussed in the company of its author.
Also, the program includes a campaign to collect books that will go to Cáritas.
Those interested in collaborating can deposit their books in the Municipal Library of Puerto Lumbreras from April 23 to 27.
