The new building has an investment of over € 900,000 and an area of 700 square meters which have created multi-functional spaces for organizing training courses, workshops and conferences for the elderly in the municipality.

The City Council of Puerto Lumbreras, in collaboration with the regional government, has completed work on the new Senior Center on the street Vicente Ruiz Llamas.
According to the Councillor for Social Policy, M ª Angeles Tunisia, "the new building of the Center on Aging Vicente Ruiz Llamas will best suit the current needs of such public locations. The equipment has spaces for the organization of training courses , workshops and conferences in order to meet the demands of senior citizens in Puerto Lumbreras.
Likewise, the new Senior Center Street Llamas Ruiz of Puerto Lumbreras has an area of over 700 square feet on two floors.
On the ground floor, the center includes restrooms, changing rooms, a warehouse and three rooms for the development of activities for older people.
On the other hand, the first floor includes services such as hairdressers, cafeteria, kitchen and two multipurpose rooms that will be developed in workshops and training activities aimed at adults.
In this sense, the Councillor for Social Policy, M ª Angeles Tunisia, concluded by explaining that once completed, and after the equipment inside the center, "the new public place will be established as a living space for seniors in which will develop different leisure activities and many services will be offered. Thus, the City Council and the regional government is once again the creation and improvement of public infrastructure that enhances the quality of life of citizens. "
