The City Council of Puerto Lumbreras has initiated proceedings theming Cueva de las Casas that develop through the Tourism Promotion Plan and which will set up a cultural and tourist route through seven themed areas in the vicinity of Castle Nogalte .
The performances, which have a lead time of 6 months, have an investment of over € 360,000.
Specifically, the themes of the cave houses situated next to Castle Nogalte, is an adaptation of tourist areas, to form a tourist-cultural route, which will be offered to visitors to learn important aspects such as the existence of a fortress Islamic caves used as dwellings for centuries, the importance of water craft to the local economy.
In this sense, the Mayor, Pedro Antonio Sánchez, explained that "with these actions we want to make Puerto Lumbreras in a resort with a wide cultural offer in the historical site," said the Mayor, Pedro Antonio Sánchez.

This cave is devoted to presenting the topics Nogalte Castle and the corridor of time Guadalentín border and archaeological research in Nogalte Castle.
Audiovisual Cave
This space is intended to accommodate a broad cultural programming throughout the year with capacity for small groups, paying particular attention to the production of local artists.
Teaching Cave
This cave is intended to support the development of educational and training activities targeted at groups organized by scheduling specific workshops related to cultural visit to the Cerro de Nogalte.
