Accompanied by Trade and Tourism Councillor, David Piñero Ginés, Mayor of the town, Pedro Antonio Sanchez, has opened the Medieval Market will remain open throughout the weekend in the town on the occasion of the festivity.

Puerto Lumbreras hosts throughout the weekend, the Medieval Market and local Craft Fair to coincide with the festivity 2010.
Mayor, Pedro Antonio Sánchez, accompanied by Trade and Tourism Councillor, David Piñero Ginés, and several members of the government team, inaugurated this morning the Medieval Market and Crafts Fair Local.
Medieval Market will take place all day Saturday and Sunday and displayed exhibits and crafts workshops missing.
Also be shown different medieval characters hanging around the area as well as animals age.
In addition, there will be displays of old crafts such as falconry, barber and bedding.
On the other hand, the booths set up at the Medieval Market, involving more than 50 artisans, they also offer a selection of typical gastronomic products.
In addition, during this first day, the market has offered various shows such as 'staging' of different medieval characters, and a group of animation.
The exhibition was organized by the Department of Trade and Tourism of the Municipality of Puerto Lumbreras in collaboration with the Directorate General of Commerce and Handicrafts, and the Retailers Association of Puerto Lumbreras (ASEPLU).
Also, many local artisans have had a booth at the Craft Fair which presents a selection of handicrafts such as paintings, soaps, work in Esparto, honey and embroidery, among many others.
The craftsmanship of Puerto Lumbreras is characterized by using traditional local materials to manufacture its products, and by using manual techniques moving away from mass production, so it works with wood, stone, ceramics, glass, cane and spelled.
