Pedro Antonio Sánchez (PP), Ramon Ortiz (PSOE), the Center for Public Opinion Murcianos (CEMOP), Antonio Poveda de Recyrex and Torralba de AFESMO Naira received last night 19 October 2010 the awards granted by professional group of Association Official of Political Science and Sociology from the Region of Murcia.
He also paid tribute to the founders of the College in the Region, including: Antonio García-Nieto, Salvadora Franco Candel, and José Antonio Martín Gomaríz Banegas.
The awards, in its first edition, were delivered to mark the tenth anniversary of the College of Political Science and Sociology from the Region of Murcia.
The event takes place after 20 hours in the Hotel 7 Coronas.
In the political-institutional category and exceptional character, has been awarded two prizes in this category Pedro Antonio Sánchez López (Puerto Lumbreras, 1976), BA in Political Science and Sociology and assistant secretary of regional CP organization for his outstanding career both policies and institutions, closely linked to the Murcia Region and its municipalities.
Furthermore, this award also went to Ramon Ortiz Molina (Cieza, 1956), BA in Political Science and Administration and former secretary general of PSRM.
In the teacher-researcher category the award was Murcianos Center for Public Opinion Studies (CEMOP) for its importance in the investigation of society and public opinion in the Region of Murcia, as well as academic importance, serving primary source for many studies and sociological studies and political science.
CEMOP directors are Antonia Martinez, Ismael Crespo and Juan José García Escribano, Departments of Political Science and Sociology at the University of Murcia.
In the private-professional category the distinction has been to Antonio Poveda Monreal (Alicante, 1971), BA in sociology, business owner Recyrex recycling company, for its ability to successfully enter the business world and have highlighted the ability of professionals to work in many different areas of the economy.
In the category of the third sector association and the person has been awarded Naira Torralba Topham (Molina de Segura, 1979), BA in Political Science and Administration, working for the Association of Families and Persons with Mental Illness of Molina de Segura (AFESMO ) for their important work in the field of social assistance and its proven ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.
Besides the winners, has decided to honor the Management Board members who founded the College in the Region of Murcia: Banegas José Martín, Antonio Pastor Gomariz, Candel Salvadora Franco and Antonio García-Nieto Gómez-Guillamón, first dean of the College.
The jury assessed the applications and issued its ruling on 13 October 2010, was composed of eight members, among whom were the territorial president of MAC, Angel Martinez, the Rector of the University of Murcia, José Antonio Cobacho, CROEM president, Miguel del Toro and the dean of the College of Journalists, John Thomas Fruits and four members of the Governing Board of the College of political scientists and sociologists, including its dean, Javier Sierra.
In the words of Dean of the College, the event's tenth anniversary is "an act of professional union that reaffirms the importance of the profession of sociologist and political scientist at the Region of Murcia" and for the awards ceremony "The awards represent a sample of the capacity of professionals in political science and sociology, as they are an example of successful careers in the political-institutional areas, academic and career in the private and third sector. "
On the tenth anniversary event also involved, Lorenzo Navarrete, Dean of the College counterpart Madrid, Maria Pedro Reverte, Minister of Presidency and Public Administration and Miguel Ángel Cámara, Mayor of Murcia.
