The City Council of Puerto Lumbreras, through the Department of Rural Development, in collaboration with the Regional Government has launched a program to promote awareness and adaptation of local farmers to organic farming systems.
The Mayor of the town, Pedro Antonio Sánchez, accompanied by the Director General of Irrigation and Rural Development, Julio Bernal, inaugurated the training program "Introduction to organic farming: vegetable, olive and almond ', part of this campaign and also includes advice and support to local farmers to incorporate them into ecological systems.
