The City Council of Puerto Lumbreras, through the Department of Trade and Environment, in collaboration with the Regional Government is participating in the project "Exchange 15 'which aims to encourage the reuse of plastic bags and recycling.
Specifically, the council on Trade and Environment, Ginés David Piñero, together with the Councillor for Employment and Social Policy, M ª Angeles Tunisia, and representatives of the Confederation of Employers, have distributed 5,000 bags of 15 applications in the shops of the town .
"What I propose in this campaign is to reduce consumption of plastic bags for single use, while promoting reuse and recycling," said Councilman Trade and Environment, Ginés David Piñero.
Thus, the so-called 'bag 15' is distributed to local businesses that work in the campaign, along with instructions on how to fold the bag to occupy as little space as possible when storing.
Also, the 'bag 15' has 25% more capacity and more durable than traditional plastic bags.
