The Mayor of Puerto Lumbreras, Pedro Antonio Sánchez, accompanied by Council of Education and Works, has overseen the recent actions that are being developed for the implementation of the new Sacred Heart Public School before its next opening.
Specifically, coinciding with the celebration of Teacher's Day, the school will be opened on Friday 26 November by the President of the Autonomous Community, Ramón Luis Valcárcel.
The new equipment has an investment of over 4 ½ million euros, and "will respond to the schooling needs of the town, expanding to 500 the number of places," says Sanchez.
For the opening next Friday 26 November, is expected to also President of the Autonomous Community and the Minister of Education, Training and Employment, come teachers who have worked over the past 53 years at Sacred Heart Public School and all citizens who wish to know the new school facilities in the locality.
In this sense, new facilities have more than 3,900 square feet on three floors.
Specifically, they shall be located 7 kindergarten classrooms, 12 elementary school classrooms, canteen and kitchen, gymnasium, library and laboratories.
In addition, the school will have two sports courts to be complemented by a covered pavilion of 800 square meters.
"Besides increasing the number of school places, the new center includes more and better infrastructure that will launch new services," said the Mayor.
On the other hand, the public facility incorporates eight specialized classes to be assigned to perform activities such as language courses, music and new technologies.
