The Mayor of Puerto Lumbreras, Pedro Antonio Sánchez, and the director general for the Prevention of Violence and Juvenile Reform, Teresa Moreno, inaugurated this morning the new facilities of Specialized Care Center for Victims of Domestic Violence.
According to the Mayor, Pedro Antonio Sánchez, "with the launch of this new center will offer various support services and individual counseling to all women who suffer or have suffered some form of abuse."
Specifically, the center's facilities were opened to coincide International Day Against Violence Against Women to be held tomorrow Thursday 25 November.
Thus, the CAVI offer information services, support and assistance for women victims of gender violence
"The purpose of the services provided from these new facilities is ensuring that women who suffer or have suffered abuse may face life independently," says Sanchez.
In addition, the professional team will "make available to these women all the tools, resources and skills to offer active listening service to victims of gender violence on an individual basis."
In this sense, the new public facility has a team of professionals, including a psychologist, a social worker and a legal adviser to "provide a caring, personalized and continuous."
Specific services offered by the new Special Care Centre for Victims of Domestic Violence, highlights social counseling with career guidance, counseling and legal.
Moreover, since the center will be set up courses and workshops to raise awareness against gender violence and to also be promoted equal relationships.
Finally, the new center will also be a tool for statistical analysis of cases of gender violence that will establish new strategies for prevention and social policies at local level.
Specialty Care Center for Victims of Domestic Violence in Puerto Lumbreras is located in the new Centre for Women in the town located in the Lemon Avenue and is open Monday to Friday from 9.00 to 14.00 and Tuesday and extending the day Thursday from 16.00 to 20.00 hours.
