The site Cabezo Port II corresponds to a prehistoric fortified settlement of the Bronze Age (Argaric) dated in the first half of the second millennium BC.
Already more than a dozen archaeological sites classified as Assets of Cultural Interest in the town in recent months.

The archaeological site of Puerto II Cabezo has been declared of Cultural Interest by the General Directorate of Fine Arts and Cultural Assets of the Region of Murcia.
Specifically, it corresponds to a prehistoric fortified settlement of the Bronze Age (Argaric) dated in the first half of the second millennium BC.
The purpose of cataloging the Cabezo Port II to protect and preserve the archaeological heritage of the locality.
According to the Councillor for Tourism and Environment, Ginés David Piñero, "sites such help convey the history of the town at different times."
In addition, Piñero highlighted that over the past two months and more than ten fields declared of Cultural Interest in the town.
Thus, the archaeological Cabezo Port II is located in the hamlet of Las Casicas on a hill located in the eastern foothills of the Sierra de las Estancias, and close to several seasonal water courses as the Rambla del Cañete, Rambla of the Cross, or the Rambla de Nogalte.
The site was first documented in 1991, documented in height habitat was protected by a canvas wall on its slopes south, west and north.
Also identified archaeological materials on the surface, mostly south of the archaeological area, mostly ceramic Argaric, but also found lithic (percussion).
Following the listing of the head of Puerto II, the general direction of Cultural Heritage in collaboration with the municipality continues to work in other cases to protect various prehistoric archaeological sites in the locality.
Among them are the Llano del Marano, a town of 4,000 years ago Argaric whose inhabitants engaged in agriculture and livestock.
Other newly protected sites are those of Peña Blanca, Ray Cave, water tank and water tank Esparragal Poveda, these two late medieval Islamic and Roman times, respectively.
