The Mayor of the town, Pedro Antonio Sánchez, and the Councillor for Education, Culture and Celebrations, Isabel García, accompanied the students of the new school Sacred Heart on the first day of activity in new infrastructure.
The new College, in which the Community has invested more than 4.5 million euros, has 19 elementary and primary classrooms, with capacity for 450 students.

This morning has been put into operation the new school facilities Sacred Heart of Puerto Lumbreras.
The Mayor of the town, Pedro Antonio Sánchez, along with the Councillor for Education, Culture and Celebrations, Isabel García, accompanied the students on the first day of teaching that has developed in the new facilities of public facilities.
According to Sanchez, "the new infrastructure make it to the Public School Sacred Heart in a modern, with new physical spaces that guarantee the quality of education in town."
Sanchez has also explained that "the new center brings the number of school places, including more and better infrastructure to enable new services start at school"
Coinciding with the holiday season, it has performed flawlessly the transfer of the old school to new infrastructure.
Sanchez thanked "the faculty of teachers, and the direction of the Sacred Heart Public School, for joint work and coordination and collaboration that have remained with the council for the transfer of the old town to new facilities."
Thus, the new public school has an infrastructure of over 3,900 square feet on three floors, which have invested more than 4.5 million euros.
Specifically, they are located 7 kindergarten classrooms, 12 elementary school classrooms, canteen and kitchen, gymnasium, library and laboratories.
In addition, the school has two multi-purpose courts are complemented by a covered pavilion of 800 square meters.
Finally, specialized equipment includes eight classrooms that are used to perform various activities such as language courses, music and new technologies.
