The municipality will bring together numerous bands lumbrerenses and other locations inside and outside our region, in a conference to be held on Saturday April 9 with a parade and a concert.
The City Council of Puerto Lumbreras has presented the ninth annual Youth Summit 2011 Drum and Bugle gather this year to 5 bands of the municipality and other areas of the Region of Murcia and Almeria.
Councillor for Education, Culture and Celebrations, Isabel Garcia together with the representative of the meeting, Juan Antonio Martinez, explained the new features of traditional and lumbrerense event, which this year also features the participation of musicians from neighboring Almería.
This new edition will feature a parade and a concert which will perform more than 300 people.
The parade will start from the Parish Church Our Lady of the Rosary at 17:00 am and will travel several streets in the town of Puerto Lumbreras to reach the Cultural Center where the concert will start from 18:00.
More than 300 participants aged between 8 and 35 interpreted along different parts of the route up ordinary.
During the concert each side interpreted 3 pieces, 2 at idle and a regular running.
Among the pieces featured performer 'La Saeta', 'Virgen de la Esperanza', 'The Lord of the Miracles "or" Entre dos aguas "de Paco de Lucia.
Among the groups participating in this ninth edition highlights the Drums and Bugles Banda Ntro.
Padre Jesus Nazareno de Puerto Lumbreras and Drums and Bugles Banda Holy Christ of Faith On the other hand assist bands from different parts of the Region of Murcia as the Drum and Bugle Banda Ntro.
Padre Jesus Nazareno de Calasparra, or Musical Group San Juan Evangelista de Alhama de Murcia, also this year's event beyond the limits of our region, also counting on the assistance of the Musical Association Our Lady of Carmen Cuevas de Almanzora ( Almería).
"The meeting, attended by thousands of people from different points inside and outside our region, is important because of the great interest shown by all lumbrerenses, and in the remaining municipalities of Murcia. This cultural event is has become the starting point of Holy Week in Puerto Lumbreras, "said Isabel Garcia, Councillor for Education and Culture.
For its part, the representative of the meeting, Juan Antonio Martínez, thanked the participation and collaboration of the 30 companies sponsoring the Ninth Meeting Youth Drum and Bugle Puerto Lumbreras 2011, and has said that "it is a party that each year there are new bands and more visitors come. More than 60 bands and have participated in the Youth Gathering of Drums and Bugles in Puerto Lumbreras.
