Puerto Lumbreras held its ninth annual Youth Summit Band Drums and Bugles 2011 which this year has had the participation of 5 bands of the municipality and other areas of the Region of Murcia and Almeria.
More than 1000 people, among whom were the mayor of Puerto Lumbreras, Pedro Antonio Sanchez and members of the Municipal Corporation, attended the encentro that began with a parade from the Parish Church Our Lady of the Rosary, ending with a concert held Cultural Center of the municipality.
Over 300 musicians aged between 8 and 35, performed throughout the tour different parts ordinary course.
During the concert, each band performed 3 pieces, 2 at idle and a regular running.
Among the pieces performed, highlighted 'La Saeta', 'Virgen de la Esperanza', 'The Lord of the Miracles "or" Entre dos aguas "de Paco de Lucia.
The Mayor of Puerto Lumbreras, Pedro Antonio Sanchez, stated that, "The devotion of the lumbrerenses by our traditions and our Holy Week and the musical quality of the participating bands, make this cultural event count each year with more followers of all points of our region and beyond, marking the beginning of the Easter celebrations in Puerto Lumbreras.
The ninth edition of Encuentro, has enjoyed the participation of the Bands Traditional Drums and Bugles of Puerto Lumbreras, Ntro.
Father Jesus and the Blessed Banda del Cristo de la Fe On the other hand, bands have attended various parts of the Region of Murcia as the Drum and Bugle Banda Ntro.
Padre Jesus Nazareno de Calasparra, or Musical Group San Juan Evangelista de Alhama de Murcia, also this year the conference has had the performance of nearly 100 musicians Almeria, members of the Group Musical Nuestra Señora del Carmen Cuevas de Almanzora ( Almería).
