The town of Puerto Lumbreras will host on Saturday 2 July from 22.00 the twelfth edition of the Flamenco Festival, which this year will include the representation of the work danced 'Don Quixote'.
"The Festival Flamenco de Puerto Lumbreras is gaining importance every year, and has already become a key event for all those lovers of dance and flamenco. This year the festival will feature a special performance by the actor Ginés García Millán lumbrerense to participate as a performer danced in the poetic representation of the play "Don Quixote," said the Councillor for Tourism and Culture, Maria Isabel Martinez.
Thus, this 2011 edition, the Festival will feature a poetic interpretation of the play "Don Quixote" by Miguel Cervantes danced by the Association of Flamenco Ria Pita.
The play, directed by Maria Carmen Martinez, will be played by local actors, and flamenco dance will feature more than 40 members of the Association Ria Pita.
And this year will set the special collaboration of Ginés García Millán lumbrerense player.
Don Quijote de la Mancha is a novel written by Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra, published the first part with the title The Ingenious Hidalgo Don Quixote de la Mancha in early 1605.
