The municipal swimming pools in Puerto Lumbreras have been more than 6,500 users throughout the month of July.
For the third consecutive year, the facility recorded a considerable increase of visitors, and during the month of August is expected to surpass the 8,000 users who received the municipal swimming pools last summer in which the figure rose by more than 20%.
According to the councilman of Youth, Sports and Volunteering, Jose Aragon, "from the consistory lumbrerense make a firm commitment to enhance public facilities and provide citizens with quality service every summer."
This year, the council has also launched an aquatics program that includes various swimming courses for people of all ages as well as water aerobics programs for the elderly, pregnant and therapeutic swimming.
The facility, located in the Municipal Sports Centre, open to the public in hour from 12:00 to 20:00 every day and stay open until the first half of September.
Puerto Lumbreras has three pools, one for children, other water activities aimed at children between 0 and 6 years and one third larger pool aimed at adults.
Improvement in the pools
To open the municipal swimming the consistory held various works of improvement and adaptation in plants to provide better service to users.
Specifically, various actions of cleaning, gardening and appropriateness of the outdoors.
This year also have been renovated outdoor landscaped areas.
