Thus, the special program of activities that the municipality lumbrerense to set up for this weekend, is part of the program "Meet the Stars' which takes place during the months of July, August and September to promote numerous initiatives through the Astronomical Observatory Cabezo de la Jara, such as free tours every Wednesday and Saturday of summer months from 22.00, with the aim to bring the world of astronomy in a didactic and easy to the public in general.
In this sense, the Councillor for Tourism and Culture, Maria Isabel Martinez, explained that "the program includes a special day on Saturday August 13 to mark the 'Shower of Stars." To this day we have organized a series of activities such as an outdoor workshop in which members of the Astronomical Society of the Region of Murcia explain the constellations, and there are numerous leisure activities such as storytelling of legends or stories about celestial bodies.
