The consistory has lumbrerense the Municipal Council approved a proposal to ask the National Government to approve a Plan for Entrepreneurs.
The Popular Party and IU voted for the initiative, while the PSOE de Puerto Lumbreras not support the proposal that contains a package of measures to encourage the creation of new opportunities and job creation.

Puerto Lumbreras City Council has approved the Municipal Council a proposal from the Department of Economics and Employment, through which the municipality calls upon the government of the nation to approve a plan to encourage entrepreneurs to create new opportunities and job creation.
In this sense, the proposal was adopted by 14 votes for the Partido Popular and IU, while the PSOE de Puerto Lumbreras not support the initiative.
Specifically, through the City Plan Entrepreneur asks the government of the nation approving specific fiscal stimulus measures, such as the moratorium on the payment of those linked to the onset of economic activity and measures to improve funding for entrepreneurs through guarantees, mutual guarantee companies or participating loans, among others.
In addition, the package also includes the streamlining of procedures for business creation, and promotion of a plan for regulatory simplification and administrative eliminate bureaucratic obstacles and red tape that hinder the operation of enterprises.
The mayor of Puerto Lumbreras, Pedro Antonio Sánchez, explained that 'the City Council of Puerto Lumbreras work to improve the situation of many families affected by unemployment and the crisis in the country, we continue to create new business opportunities that turn generate employment, the unemployment rate in the municipality lies 12 points below the national average. "
But the solution, says Sanchez, "far exceeds the powers and resources of local authorities. The Government's Office should adopt a package of measures to support entrepreneurship, promoting job creation."
Finally, note that through the initiative approved at the Plenary Hall, the consistory lumbrerense also requests the Government of the nation to commit itself not to raise taxes and to develop programs to support tax job creators, the imminent creation of an ICO to finance the debts of municipalities with SMEs and independent, and to carry out an investment program to improve the future production and welfare of citizens.
