The general manager of Consumer Affairs, Commerce and Handicrafts, María Dolores Alarcon, accompanied by members of the Municipal Corporation of Puerto Lumbreras, today inaugurated the Medieval Market and Craft Fair of the town, which brings together fifty artisans of the region.
The exhibition offers a selection of traditional crafts and cuisine as well as workshops and exhibitions of various trades in danger of extinction, such as falconry, barber or mattresses.
Alarcón explained that "the artisans of this area are characterized by using materials typical of the area and manual techniques to produce wood products, stone, ceramics, glass, cane or esparto."
Also, the market offers a show called 'Staging' where a group of different characters and animation plays medieval professions, in order to acclimate the sample offer an attractive commercial and recreational visitors.
