The Virgin of the Rosary last night toured the main streets of the town in the procession held on the occasion of the festivity.
During the afternoon yesterday Puerto Lumbreras gala dressed to accompany the patron, the Virgen del Rosario, the main streets of the town.
At 19:00 came out of the Virgin from the Church, where many gathered lumbrerenses to accompany the patron during the tour.
Municipal Corporation, associations, and numerous lumbrerenses accompanied the Virgin, carried on the shoulders of the bearers, through the main streets of the municipality.
Also, ladies and queens of the holidays followed the procession dressed in the Spanish mantilla.
The celebration of the feast of Our Lady of the Rosary on October 7 goes back to the Catholic Church in 1572.
It was established in the Dominican liturgy by Pope St. Pius V.
His successor, Gregory XIII, helped to disseminate the party to institute it in those parishes that had brotherhood.
