A new ecotourism trail allows to know the plant species and water harvesting systems in Cabezo de la Jara (22/10/2011)

The town of Puerto Lumbreras ecotourism offers a new path in Cabezo la Jara in which visitors can learn about botanic species, as well as resources for systems and water use through history.

Councillor for Sustainable Development, Salvador Martinez, along with the Councillor for Culture and Tourism, Maribel Martinez, visited this morning the new path that offers a new course of 1,800 meters in the natural landscape of Cabezo la Jara.

Thus, the path 'Botanical and Integrated Water Harvesting' showcases the living collections of plants in their area, as well as individuals in danger of extinction to promote their protection as well as the traditional elements of irrigation and use of water.

Addition, the trail has benches for rest and to document information panels users on the vegetation of the area all the way.

Councillor for Sustainable Development, Salvador Martinez, explained that "this is a new ecotourism trail with which to complete the numerous paths and trails offered by the environment Cabezo la Jara.
