More than 100 students of the Public School Juan Antonio Lopez Alcaraz have participated in a trip to Castle Nogalte and environment of the cave houses of Puerto Lumbreras.
The initiative was developed in collaboration with the Department of Tourism, is part of an educational project that starts the school throughout the year to show the "importance of water" to elementary school students.
Thus, the students visited one of the caves on water law issues, which shows the importance of water in Puerto Lumbreras, establishing a tour of a sense of movement to present the courses of water from its catchment, storage and distribution to different uses in traditional activities.
Thus, the educational project on "The Importance of Water" driven by the CP Juan Antonio Lopez Alcaraz, aims to raise awareness among students to be involved directly in water savings with daily activities.
For the development and achievement of these objectives, the school works daily on activities and experiments with water.
The project also includes guided tours of the town to know the surroundings of the Rambla de Nogalte, and show smaller during groundwater through the ports.
