Over 500 horses are on display throughout the weekend in the traditional fair of horses in Puerto Lumbreras.
The mayor of the municipality, Pedro Antonio Sanchez, accompanied by Councillor for Rural Development, José María Parra, has opened the traditional Fair held at the premises of Regional Livestock Market.
According to Sanchez, "the fair is one of the most deeply rooted traditions in Puerto Lumbreras that has been held for over 80 years. In addition, acquired national importance, as our fair annual season closes cattle fairs in Spain" .
Thus, Equine Cattle Fair will be open Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 p.m. until 8.00hy, and will house five hundred horses in a facility with an area of ​​20,000 square meters, designed to trade in horses, mares, ponies and donkeys won.
In addition, the Fair will feature an exhibition of horses on the track and entry is free.
In this sense, Sanchez concluded by explaining that "every year increases the number of attendees, as it is a fair in addition to farmers, whole family come to see up close animals and exhibits equine traditions and material" .
