The day culminated with a luncheon at the Youth Hostel coexistence Cabezo de La Jara.
The Department of Sport, Youth and Volunteer of the Municipality of Puerto Lumbreras, with the collaboration of Veloaventura Club has organized the II Rise to Sima Cabezo de la Jara, with the participation of five hundred athletes from different parts of the Region de Murcia, as well as other regions.
The day in which they have contributed also various local sports clubs such as Club Andaya Walker, MTB Cabezo de la Jara and Cycling Ginés García Peña, has been divided into three different categories, such as mountain biking rise , hiking and running.
The Second Rise to Sima Cabezo de La Jara has had its starting point at the Municipal Sports Complex, with a 13 km natural beauty, has culminated in the Sima del Cabezo.
Participants in the tour have been enjoying a scenic natural environment, characterized by a set of rolling hills traversed by watercourses, highlighting the garrigue Mediterranean vegetation, all dominated by the peak of Cabezo de la Jara, of 1246 meters of altitude.
The athletes were able to visit the Interpretation Center of Nature contains a large sample of local flora and fauna, located next to the Youth Hostel in La Jara Cabezo where they ended the day with a lunch of coexistence.
