The Department of Equal Opportunities, in collaboration with women's associations in the municipality, organized several workshops and sports and cultural initiatives throughout the day which was developed in the Cabezo la Jara.
Lumbrerenses women had visited the new trekking routes Cabezo la Jara, and the Astronomical Observatory and the Center for Nature Interpretation.

The town of Puerto Lumbreras has hosted a day of coexistence in which participated over 300 local women to coincide with the "Women's History Month."
The mayor of Puerto Lumbreras, Pedro Antonio Sanchez, and the Councillor for Equal Opportunities, Lina Gázquez were added to the day which included several workshops involving the nearly 300 women.
In this sense, the mayor of Puerto Lumbreras, Pedro Antonio Sanchez, said it is "an initiative designed for all women in the municipality and organized in collaboration with all our women's associations to celebrate the Day of Working Women."
Also, the event featured a meal in which dishes were tasted the municipality.
Women also participated throughout the day in various workshops such as yoga, flamenco dancers, belly dancing and pilates as well as hiking and photography classes.
Finally, Sanchez recalled that during the entire month of March, "the Department of Equality launches a program that includes activities for women over 30 cultural activities, sports and leisure activities. All activities will be developed at the Center for Women offering new spaces, which also houses the women's associations in our municipality. "
