The Municipality of Puerto Lumbreras, through the Department of Culture, has recently organized a Youth Book Club.
Thus, a youth group meets to discuss and reflect on the same work that all participants have read previously.
Thus, this practice aims to promote reading in the youth group.
In this sense, the Councillor for Culture, Maribel Martinez, stressed "this is a free initiative that can join all those young people interested to promote reading habits."
The Network of Libraries of the municipality has implemented various activities such as reading workshops, storytelling and drawing competitions.
Also created the initiative "Librarian for a Day" in which children learn to be more librarians for a day in the library network of the municipality.
