The Municipality of Puerto Lumbreras, through the Department of Tourism and Culture, has organized a drawing competition 'Medina Nogalte' in which the four participating schools in the municipality.
The initiative is framed within the Plan to Promote Tourism Product Nogalte Medina, has been organized in order to "make known the new attractions of the town among the smallest."
Thus, the college students have designed work on the Joint Tourist Nogalte Medina, consisting of the Castle and the Cave Houses themed environment.
The winners have been Diego Andres Zaragoza (Sacred Heart), followed by Mireilla Rivera (Sacred Heart), and Jose Antonio Widowhood (Assumption Jordan), all awarded with school supplies.
The jury was made up of citizens related to the arts, representatives of the Tourist Consortium Nogalte Medina and staff of the Department of Culture and Tourism.
In addition, the drawings will be exhibited in one of the exhibition halls of the Elven House during May and June.
The initiative is part of the Plan to Promote Tourism Product Nogalte Medina, which starts on August 26, 2008 following the signing of a cooperation agreement between the Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Trade, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Region of Murcia, the Tourist Consortium Nogalte Medina and the Regional Federation of Hospitality of Murcia (Hostemur) for the development of this plan.
This partnership represents an investment of 3,300,000 euros, over a period of three years.
