Over 150 farmers and ranchers of Puerto Lumbreras have completed a dozen specialized training programs, related to the primary sector.
The Director General of Livestock and Fisheries, Adolfo Falagán, Councillor of Agriculture, Livestock and Water, Jose Maria Parra, and the municipal charge of Economy and Employment, Juana Guirao, this week delivered the diplomas to the participants in these programs, which seek increasing training, specialization and modernization of this sector.
The programs offered through the training plan are tailored to local labor market needs.
Specifically, they have offered courses on "Safe Handling of tractor ',' Animal welfare in transport ',' almond tree pruning ',' Pruning olive ',' Manipulator of plant protection products ',' equine animal welfare ',' Welfare ruminant animal 'and' pruning citrus'.
The target groups are young people and adults linked to agriculture and livestock.
The agriculture and livestock in Puerto Lumbreras is established as one of the main drivers of the local economy, so we have put in place specific actions that favor the development of companies in this sector in the municipality.
