This measure joins other actions that have already been launched as public safety ordinance to improve the safety and quality of life in the township.
The Municipality of Puerto Lumbreras has designed a new Regulatory Municipal Parks and Gardens which aims to "ensure respect and good maintenance of the parks and gardens of the municipality and citizens continue raising awareness on the proper use of these public areas. "
This ordinance has been passed in the last Full Council, and the Mayor of the municipality, Pedro Antonio Sanchez, along with the Councillor for Sustainable Development, Salvadora Martínez, presented this morning at a press conference that incorporates measures this new regulation.
So, Pedro Antonio Sánchez, explained that "the aim of this new ordinance is to increase the safety and respect of our parks and gardens, incorporating standards and awareness measures to achieve good status of these public spaces."
Thus, the new Ordinance is established as a legal instrument for the protection of parks, gardens, parks and a public garden squares.
As explained by the Mayor, "is important for citizens to continue acquiring knowledge in the proper use and enjoyment of them so as to make a proper use, and for this the new Ordinance regulates standards that seek to prevent deterioration of these public spaces. "
The new ordinance regulating the protection of street furniture, playgrounds, fountains, signs, lampposts, statues or decorative elements.
In addition, it also provides for the protection of animals and their tenure in public parks.
This regulation also includes a system of penalties for offenses which criminalize offenses and establish penalties.
As provided in this Ordinance, the causes of its deterioration or destruction, be responsible, not only for repairing the damage, but also be punished according to the offense, classified as minor, serious and very serious.

In this sense, the mayor said that "with these new regulations aim to eradicate certain vandalism that may harm the citizens of the municipality, as the appearance of the street, enhancing public safety and increasing social welfare lumbrerenses" .
