The Mayor of Puerto Lumbreras, Pedro Antonio Sánchez, accompanied by the Director General of Tourism, Enrique Ujaldón new Center opened last night ethnographic agricultural and pastoral traditions of the municipality.
Thus, this new museum space is located in the Casa del Cura and offers permanent exhibitions on agricultural and pastoral traditions of the municipality along its history.
In this sense, the Mayor of Puerto Lumbreras, Pedro Antonio Sánchez, explained that "with the creation of the new Chamber of Agriculture Ethnography at the Casa del Cura continue to expand the content and providing new tourist space we have created with the rehabilitation of the iconic home of the Casa del Cura nineteenth century. "
Thus the new Ethnographic Centre has 115 square meters incorporating an ethnographic room with permanent exhibitions on agricultural and pastoral traditions of the municipality, as well as audiovisual and multimedia space which will display documentaries and multimedia works on the history of the traditions related local agriculture and livestock.
The Center also displays antique tools and fixtures related typical farming sector.
In this sense, the Ethnographic Center construction with an investment of over € 150,000, funded through the European Project Leader Plus, it boosts Integral Development Association "Campoder" and built an outhouse in the House the Cure, which originally used to store farm implements.
Finally, Sanchez stated that "this new space becomes a new cultural and tourist enclave with extending the offer recently created rehabilitation Nogalte Castle and the new tourist route consists of cave houses".
