The latest wave of cuts carried out by the Regional Government have left the budget of the Ministry of Agriculture in its simplest form.
Reducing the subsidy budget has left different disease control activities in farms, complicating the survival of Health Protection Associations.
The ADSs are an important pillar in the sector, is recognized by all the work done in recent decades, giving nearby solutions and decentralizing health checks on our farms.
The survival of the ADSs is key and especially in our area where the vast majority of the farms could be considered small or medium.
In these small farms uneconomic holdings of a veterinarian himself, the procurement of drugs and medical devices are substantially encarecería to make purchases in small amounts, would miss a junction and communication partners, etc..
All these reasons and many others, demonstrate the need to conserve these associations.
The viability lies in a minimum financial contribution to ensure its functioning.
This grant would be rewarded with the maintenance, not only of the same ADS, but the continuity of operations that otherwise could not cope with the expenses the original disease control.
