STATEMENT OF REASONS
On September 28, 2012 there was a weather phenomenon consisting of torrential rains that have caused a catastrophic damage in the town of Puerto Lumbreras
Therefore, the municipal People's Party group, the Spanish Socialist Party and United Left-Greens propose to the plenary of the Corporation's adoption of the following
Institutional Declaration
The Municipality of Puerto Lumbreras wants to show its solidarity and sincere commitment to all residents of the municipality and especially to the families of the deceased.
Plenary also want to evaluate positively the actions that have been carried out as emergency assistance to mitigate the consequences of the disaster and show satisfaction with the response of the citizens of Puerto Lumbreras.
Similarly, the City Council wants to continue the work of relief began on September 28, 2012 and intensify solidarity actions so that citizens and economic and social agents of the municipality collaborate in supporting people to the needs by rainfall occurring on 28 September 2012.
Similarly, the City wants to encourage European institutions and administrations, national and regional to take the necessary measures to mitigate the negative effects of this catastrophic event and secondly, thank commitment, collaboration, support and solidarity received in the Municipality of Puerto Lumbreras by all institutions, organizations and individuals.
