The Mayor of Puerto Lumbreras, Pedro Antonio Sánchez, and the Councillor for Economy and Finance of Lorca, Luis Amador Perez, met with MEP Rosa Estaràs to expose an initial appraisal of the damage in the areas hardest hit by floods Sept. 28.

Rosa Estaràs MEP defends Parliament today before the need to improve the operation of the Solidarity Fund of the EU to respond more swiftly to disasters such as those suffered recently by floods.

The Mayor of Puerto Lumbreras, Pedro Antonio Sanchez, along with the Councillor for Sustainable Development and European Projects of Puerto Lumbreras, Salvadora Martinez and Councilman Finance of Lorca, Luis Amador Perez, met with MEP Rosa Estaràs for explain and analyze the major damages to the area most affected by the floods last September 28.

So Rosa Estaràs MEP is the rapporteur of the European Parliament Report on Reform of the Solidarity Fund of the European Union, and therefore to Parliament today defended the need to improve the operation of the Solidarity Fund of the EU to respond more agile to catastrophes such as those suffered recently by floods.
