The municipality has joined the Pilar Day celebration with a Mass in honor of the patron of the Guardia Civil in which reminded the victims and affected by the floods last September 28.
On the occasion of the Day of Pilar, has officiated a Mass at Our Lady of the Rosary Church in honor of the Virgen del Pilar, patroness of the Guardia Civil.
The Mass, has been attended by over 300 lumbrerenses among whom was the Mayor of the town, Pedro Antonio Sánchez, and the Municipal Corporation, the rest of staff sergeant and stationed in the barracks of the Guardia Civil in Puerto Lumbreras.
During the Mass in honor of the Virgen del Pilar reminded those killed and those affected and damage numerous floods last September 28.
Moreover, during the day have been suspended events planned in honor of the flag on the occasion of the festival of Pilar, as the Extraordinary Full Council held after the floods unanimously approved the suspension of the planned festivities on the occasion of the Celebrations in the town of Puerto Lumbreras.
